The surgical area consists of 4 rooms microsurgery, anesthesia and recovery room, medical preparation room, sterilization area, warehouse and storage surgery, rest instrumental areas and our medical group.
The operating rooms are specialized: 2 for Anterior Segment, Oculoplastics and Strabismus, quiroscopioc area for direct observation of procedures and closed television system that transmits the quiroscopioc area and Clinical Auditorium. A room for Retina and Vitreous Surgery and Refractive Surgery room.

This specialty encompasses diseases affecting the Vitreous and Retina. The most common diseases are: macular holes, detachments of the Retina, Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Edema, Inflammation and Infections that can prevent light from reaching properly to the retina. For the surgical procedure we used microincision instrumentation and the latest laser technology. The most common surgeries are: Simple Vitrectomy, Cerclage, vitrectomy with gas, Vitrectomy With Silicone Oil, endophotocoagulation, intravitreal injections
REFRACTIVE SURGERY - LASER
Used for people with Myopia, hyperopia, Astigmatism and presbyopia.
We have Laser Eximer equipment that allows us to utilize all the Queratomileusis's current technologies for Photoablation (LASIK, PRK, LASEK), 5 Microqueratomos's Units for traditional surgery and Femtosecond to realize Flap (Court of the previous caps of the Cornea), Rings Laser Intracorneal and keratoplasty.
Used for persons with pathologies that affect the Crystalline one, the most frequent of them the Cataract (Opaqueness of the Crystalline one). The most common reasons are Senile Cataract, Congenital Cataract, Traumatic Cataract, Crystalline Sub-luxados. In this Surgery we use equipments of Microincision, Ultrasound and replace the Crystalline one with Intra-ocular Lenses of the highest quality.
This specialization of Ophthalmology refers to all diseases that have to do with: Conjunctiva, Eyelids, Tear Duct, Orbit and Eyeball.
Among the most frequently performed surgeries in this field include:
Pterygium (growth of the conjunctiva which tends to invade the Cornea
Blepharoplasty (excess skin on the eyelids)
Ptosis (eyelid drop)
Ectropion (eversion of the eyelid)

In the last two cases is the reconstruction of the eye so that the patient can use an Ocular Prosthesis aesthetic that is also made in the clinic.
This specialty of Ophthalmology treated pathologies is associated with increased intraocular pressure, which is not adequately controlled with medication, to prevent optic nerve damage or compromise the visual field. For these pathologies incisional surgeries are practiced such as the trabeculectomy (without and with application of Mitomycin C), trabeculectomies, Implant of drainage valve type Ahmed; and the not incisional realized with Laser Diode and Yag Laser.
This speciality of the Ophthalmology treats the deviations or loss of the parallelism of the eyes. The Strabologist Physician will determine in agreement to the pathology the more suitable surgical method of correction. It is realized using microscope to obtain a better visualization and therefore major precision what is translated in a minor surgical trauma and better post operative results. The most used technologies are retroinsertion, resection and isolating the muscle.
These grafts are performed on patients who have conditions such as Keratoconus, Corneal scarring caused by injury, trauma or burns. Cornea grafts may be lamellar, penetrating or endothelial. The purpose of Corneal Graft, is to replace the damaged cornea with a healthy one, coming from donors who were alive until a few hours before transplantation and who generously donated their eyes so that others can see. The clinic has registered with the National Transplant Network to perform Cornea grafts.

Every room of surgery possesses the equipments necessary for the procedures, such as microscopes, phacoemulsification equipment, equipments for Surgery of Glassy - Retina, Amaris Laser and Femto-second, Diode Laser, Saw Stryker for Oculoplastic, panels of connection for bombs of Aspiration, compressed air, diathermies, platform of Micro-contacts for the managing of the different equipments and microphones for communication between the rooms and the quiroscopioc area.
